Community Outreach Volunteer

Career Haven, in partnership with Maryland Department of Health Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, is working to inform Prince George’s County citizens of the effects of Alzheimer’s disease in segmented populations. Your volunteering for this initiative will help to change and save lives.

We invite you to partner with us as a volunteer, as we educate citizens of the County with public outreach and informational events to raise public awareness and knowledge of signs, symptoms, and risk factors for Alzheimer’s and Dementia. We have a FREE training that will prepare and educate you on how to communicate with the community about Alzheimer’s prior to our outreach events. High school student volunteers can earn community service hours and healthcare workers can earn in-service professional development hours. We will also teach you how to apply these skills for your career growth and potential business pursuits!

Each training will be held at 9500 Arena Drive, Suite 440, Largo, MD 20774, where lunch will be provided. You only have to attend one training and can choose one of the following days that best works with your schedule:
